Orange plate 400 × 300 mm with your hazard identification number and UN number — 1 unit, digits supplied loose

You tell us the numbers, we send you one blank orange plate 400 × 300 mm (15 mm black border and centre line) together with the self-adhesive black digits of your hazard identification number (2 or 3 digits, upper half) and your UN number (4 digits, lower half) — up to 7 digits in total.

The digits are supplied loose, not applied. You position them on the plate yourself: this keeps the plate usable if a number changes and lets you align the digits exactly as ADR 5.3.2.2.3 shows. Each digit is a self-adhesive vinyl tile with a black figure 100 mm high and 15 mm stroke, the size ADR/RID 5.3.2.2.2 requires.

How to order

1. Type the hazard identification number (e.g. 33, 336) and the UN number (e.g. 1203) in the fields above the Add to cart button.
2. We check the pair against Table A of the ADR before dispatch and contact you if it does not match.
3. Digits 0-9 only. The letter X (substance reacting dangerously with water, e.g. X423) is not available as a loose tile — contact us for a printed plate.
4. Apply the digits on a clean, dry plate: hazard identification number above the line, UN number below.

What the regulation says

• ADR/RID 5.3.2.2.1: orange plate 40 × 30 cm, 15 mm border, optional 15 mm centre line, weather-resistant material.
• ADR/RID 5.3.2.2.2: digits 100 mm high, 15 mm stroke, indelible; interchangeable digits must stay in place during carriage.
• This vinyl is not retro-reflective: valid as the self-adhesive alternative marking on containers for bulk, tank-containers, MEGCs and portable tanks (ADR 5.3.2.2.1); the front and rear plates of the vehicle itself must be reflectorised.
