Description
Provides air cargo shipper personnel involved in the handling, storage, and stowage of cargo, mail, or supplies with the necessary knowledge on Dangerous Goods labelling and handling.
Target Audience
Personnel responsible for the screening of passengers and crew, and their baggage, cargo and mail
Course Objective
At the end of the DGR training, participants will have the necessary knowledge to:
Identify and classify dangerous goods
Recognize and identify dangerous goods labels and package specification marks
Take into account the provisions for Dangerous Goods in passenger and crew baggage
Familiarize themselves with dangerous goods emergency response procedures
This training has been developed using a competency-based training and assessment approach: Chapter 7 of the IATA DGR manual.
Minimum Duration
180 minutes
Final Assessment
At the end of the course, a final assessment or multiple-choice test is conducted. The student must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass. The student has two opportunities to successfully complete the assessment.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the assessment, you will receive a certificate via email. The certificate is valid for 24 months.
