Collection: Cargo Aircraft Only (CAO)

Cargo Aircraft Only (CAO) labels are used to identify dangerous goods that are prohibited from transport on passenger aircraft and may only be shipped on dedicated cargo aircraft. These labels are essential for ensuring that air carriers, ground handlers and emergency responders immediately recognise consignments that require enhanced safety measures during air transport.

CAO labels are mandatory for a wide range of dangerous goods that present elevated risks under passenger‑aircraft conditions, including certain lithium batteries, chemical substances, flammable materials, toxic goods and temperature‑sensitive products. The distinctive orange‑and‑black CAO design ensures clear visibility and rapid identification throughout the air‑cargo supply chain.

These labels are required under IATA/DGR, the global standard for air transport of dangerous goods, and support compliance across all stages of air‑cargo operations, including acceptance checks, loading, segregation, stowage and emergency response procedures. They are essential for freight forwarders, airlines, logistics operators, chemical distributors, battery manufacturers and any business shipping regulated materials by air.

CAO labels help prevent misrouting, ensure correct aircraft selection and reduce the risk of non‑compliance penalties. Their use is critical in maintaining safety standards in air transport, particularly for high‑risk or restricted dangerous goods.

We offer Cargo Aircraft Only (CAO) labels in polypropylene (110×120 mm), available with text, without text or customised on‑demand printing. Packs of 10, 50 and 100 units are available, as well as rolls of 250, 500 and 1000 to support all dangerous goods air‑cargo operations.
