Collection: Class 8: Corrosive substances

Class 8 hazard labels are used to identify corrosive substances classified as dangerous goods during transport. These materials can cause severe damage to skin, eyes, metals and other materials, making clear hazard communication essential for safe handling. Typical examples include acids, alkalis, battery fluid, cleaning agents, industrial chemicals and various corrosive mixtures used in manufacturing, laboratories and maintenance operations.

Corrosive substances can cause chemical burns, metal corrosion, container degradation and dangerous reactions when in contact with incompatible materials. The Class 8 label features the standardised black‑and‑white symbol showing corrosion on metal and skin, along with the number “8” at the bottom of the diamond for immediate recognition by carriers and emergency responders.

These labels are mandatory for the compliant transport of corrosive materials under IATA/DGR, ADR, IMDG, ADN and RID regulations, ensuring consistent identification across air, road, sea, rail and inland waterways.

Class 8 labels are essential for chemical distributors, industrial suppliers, automotive workshops, laboratories, warehouses, logistics operators and any business handling or shipping corrosive substances.

We offer Class 8 labels in polypropylene (100×100 mm and 100×135 mm) and vinyl placards (250×250 mm and 300×300 mm), available with text, without text or customised on‑demand printing. Packs of 10, 50 and 100 units are available, as well as rolls of 250, 500 and 1000 to support all dangerous goods operations.
