Yellow chemical absorbent socks, Ø 8 × 120 cm, in a box of 5 or 20. Each sock absorbs up to 3.6 L: the box of 5 holds up to 18 L, the box of 20 up to 72 L.

• Immediate containment: surround the spill so it does not spread, starting on the drain side, and absorb it from the edge inwards.
• 120 flexible centimetres that follow machines, curves and corners. Overlap several socks to cover a long perimeter.
• Also a barrier in front of drains, doors and the edges of a bund.

Chemical range (yellow)

100 % polypropylene, hydrophilic and oleophilic: it absorbs water-based and oil-based liquids, including acids and bases. Yellow identifies the chemical range, for aggressive or hazardous liquids.

Absorption capacity according to the manufacturer's data sheet, tested to BS 7959-1 (tolerance ±5 %).

Before you use it

• Check in the safety data sheet (SDS) of the spilled substance that polypropylene is compatible with it.
• Do not use on hot surfaces: polypropylene melts at 160–175 °C.
• Used absorbent takes on the hazards of the liquid it absorbed. Dispose of it as waste according to the SDS and local rules (when contaminated with hazardous substances, typically EWC code 15 02 02*).
• For a large or unknown spill, move away and call 112.
