✔️ UN 4GV/4G certified for all modes of transport — compliant with ADR (road), RID (rail), ADN (inland waterways), IMDG (sea) and IATA/ICAO DGR (air).
✔️ Outer packaging of a combination packaging — the "S" in the UN mark means, under ADR 6.1.3.1 (d), that the packaging is intended for solids or inner packagings. Liquids travel inside the inner packaging, never directly in the box; that is why the mark carries no hydraulic test pressure. The box may also serve as an overpack under ADR 5.1.2, which then requires the "OVERPACK" mark and the marks of the packages inside.
✔️ What the letter "V" adds — under ADR 6.1.2.4 the "V" designates a special packaging under 6.1.5.1.7: the outer packaging was tested with fragile inner packagings containing liquids, dropped from the packing group I height. This allows inner packagings of any type to be assembled without repeating the test — provided the conditions of 6.1.5.1.7 are met, in particular (b) the total gross mass of the inner packagings must not exceed half the mass used in the drop test, and (c) the cushioning thickness must not be reduced.
✔️ Approved for packing groups I, II and III — the box is marked "X", which under ADR 6.1.3.1 (c) covers all three groups.
✔️ Certified maximum gross masses for 360x260x300 mm: 4GV-X: 15 kg | 4G-X: 21 kg | 4G-Y: 30 kg | 4G-Z: 40 kg. Always check the mass marked on the box against the test report before shipping.
